On Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018 just after 2 p.m. an unknown male and female attended three stores, Le Chateau, RW & Co and Sport Chek, located in the Georgian Mall at 509 Bayfield Street, in the City of Barrie.
At all three locations, the two suspects moved swiftly and in unison selecting multiple high priced items including brand name sunglasses and clothing, concealing them and fleeing from the store. In each instance the suspects were caught on surveillance for less than three minutes before executing their crime and exiting.
The total cost of stolen merchandise from all locations is excess $8,000 before taxes which occurred in less than 15 minutes total time the couple were in the mall.
Reports from employees who had briefly interacted with the female state she had an accent that could possibly have been French.
