At approximately 1:30 a.m., this morning, Barrie police responded to a report of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of Mapleview Drive, east of Bayview Drive.
The 20-year-old victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre in critical condition.
The vehicle involved stayed on scene.
The investigation is continuing and more information will be provided as they become available.
