A Scarborough teen will be using Uber for a while after being nabbed for stunt driving on Highway 11, just south of Orillia.

Police say Anastacia Mohamed, a 19-year-old from Scarborough, was clocked travelling at 161 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone on Highway 11 north in Oro-Medonte Township.

She was charged with stunt driving, which means her car will be impounded for 14 days. She has also lost her licence for 30 days, police note.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.

"Drivers and members of the public are reminded to respect our communities, comply with all laws, and not jeopardize the safety of our citizens or our neighbourhoods with risky, illegal, and dangerous actions," notes the Orillia OPP media release.
