Peacefully passed at the Amica Little Lake Retirement on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 at the age of 77 years. Survived by daughters Stephanie Urry (Jonathan), Kimberly Stewart (Graham) and Fiona Wheeler. Proud Nana to Raine, Kalen, Jordan, Lauren, Bailey, Phaedra, Darby and Violet. Predeceased by her parents Isa and Robert Day as well as her brothers Floyd and Cecil and sisters Vera and Yvonne. Lovingly remembered by her sister Maxine, brother Wayne, sister-in-law Helena and many nieces and nephews. Carol retired from her job as an Administrative Assistant at Georgian College. Soon after she began a successful second career in real estate buying and selling houses, and rent to owns.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, November 26th, 2021 from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the Chapel at 12 p.m. Reception to follow in the Lower Lounge. Due to Ontario's Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral home can only accommodate up to 35 people at one time for the visitation. Guests must wear a mask and allow proper social distancing. The funeral home will be enforcing the 2-metre rule for any lineup that should occur during the visitation and service.
