August 30, 1934-August 4, 2021

It is with great sadness we share with you the passing of Karl on August 4th, 2021 at the age of 86 years.  He passed away at his home exactly where he wanted to be after a brief struggle with Parkinson’s disease.   Lovingly remembered by his wife Marilyn for over 65 years.

Beloved father of Ron (Victoria), Beverly, Darlene Nagy (Paul), Karl, James (Ann).  He will be sadly missed by his grandsons, Mark, Alex and Eric and many close relatives and friends. Survived by brothers, Adolf and Ron and sister Helen. Predeceased by brother Fred.

Karl was loved by all of the people he met in his life.  He had a wonderful sense of humour and a brilliant smile.  He will be remembered for many wonderful things including working in structural steel and his creation of railings, Lions Park sign and the Windmill on top of the old Baks Market in Bradford.  He supported his community through his contributions and development of the Bradford Minor Soccer Association in the 1970’s-1980’s. Karl had a genuine love of gardening and was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs Fan.

At this time, cremation has taken place. A public memorial visitation will take place at the Paul Kent Funeral Home, 16 King Sreet. N. in Cookstown on Sunday August 15, 2021 from 12-4 p.m.  Donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation can be made in Karl's memory. Covid-19 restrictions including masks and social distancing are still in place.
