WEYER, Hans

(April 8, 1932 – December 6, 2016) - In loving memory of Hans Weyer born April 8, 1932 in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands to Harmen and Aaltje (nee Geertsma) Weijer. He passed away suddenly at his home from a stroke on Pender Island, B.C. Beloved husband of, and predeceased by Gerda Weyer and also predeceased by his brothers Minze Weijer (Geertje), Hendrik Weijer and son David Weyer. He is survived by his sisters Romktje (nee Weijer) Boomsma (Johannes), Limkje (nee Weijer) Kuiper (Harm), Gerda (nee Weijer) Bootsma (Auke) and Alida Weijer (Johan v.d.Kooi), and brothers Sjoerd Weijer (Sijke) and Johannes Weijer (Aaltje). Left to cherish his memory, he was the proud and loving father to his six children Frank Weyer (Helena Klein Nibbelink), Sylvia (nee Weyer) Sackiw (Chris Sackiw), Yvonne Weyer (David Mowers), Rosemary Weyer-Keller (Adam Keller), and Paul Weyer (Tara Parkinson). Loving and patient grandfather to five grandchildren: Katrina (nee Weyer) Campbell (Andrew), Calvin Weyer, Mercedes "Didi" Weyer, Connor Keller and Spencer Keller. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A private Memorial Gathering will be held in Caledon on Sunday, December 11, 2016.
