Larry Eugene Weldon passed away at his home in Barrie on May 26 2023 with his great love Faith McLeod Roy by his side.
Larry was born to Laura Ruth Cook and Clarence Arthur Weldon in Oshawa.
His professional life was with Nortel where he built strong friendships initially working his way from the towers with the Installation Department in Ontario to the Transmission Marketing Department in Montreal. He was with the initial Marketing group in Nortel’s venture into International Market spending some time in Chile. When he retired he kept up his adventurous spirit by travelling and spending time playing tennis, golfing and entertaining us all with his outlandish humour.
Larry will be missed by his loving children Brett Weldon (Lenie) and Kelly Tribe (Lyle) and his beautiful granddaughters Jessica (Ashley) and Kyera; his step children Jennifer and Michael (Ghadeer) step grandchildren León,Laith and Laila. Larry’s brother David Weldon (Karen), nieces Terri Newey (Mike), Kathy Weldon,Pam MacKenzie(Neil),many great nephews and nieces who held a special place in his heart as well as extended family and dear friends old and new will all grieve his absence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
