An active Guider, church member, church choir member and a member of the Ross Caldwell Singers, passed away suddenly at home surrounded by her daughter Pamela and much-loved Jack Russells Paddington and Duchess.


Yvonne”Pat” Patricia Watt(nee Shields) who was born in Lisburn, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, in her 93rd year was devoted and faithful wife to the late Gordon Watt. She leaves her children Derek (Maureen), Brian (Margo), Maureen (Doug), and Pamela. Loved grandmother of Walter, Diane, Clinton (deceased), Sarah, Rebecca (Dee), Jenny (Clayton), Katie, Rob, Tyler, Jordan, Jeffery (Isabella), Jillian (Martin), Jennifer (deceased) and great-grandmother to ten and great-great grandmother to one. Pat was predeceased by her parents John and Lily Shields and brothers Jack, Ken, Bill and Doug. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, England, and Northern Ireland.

Friends will be received at Adams Funeral Home, 445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie on Thursday January 17th between 7 and 9 pm.

A celebration of Pat Watt’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church with visitation 1 hour before service at 11 am on Friday January 18th, 47 Owen Street, Barrie, followed by a reception in the Lecture Hall.

Interment to follow with family at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, Toronto. Memorial Donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian WMS or the Candlelighters Simcoe would be appreciated by the family.
