Passed away peacefully, in her 96th year, at home on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 with the love of family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Victor in March 1965. She is the loving mother of four daughters Lalini (Thala), Logi (Milroy), Subho (Andrew) and her dear Raji (Christy). Proud Grandmother to Nishanthi (Ruaidiah), Diana (Damien), Sangeetha (Jeevan), Lovelina (Munish) and Jonathan and a beloved Great Grandmother to Sophia, Anu, Leanna, Tanvi and Isabella. Daisy was a strong and determined woman who, as a young widow, dedicated her life to providing a good life for her daughters, she worked hard and lived with empathy and compassion, guided by her unwavering faith. Her warm twinkling eyes and sweet loving smile will be greatly missed, but her legacy and memory lives on in the hearts of those dearest to her.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, October 30th, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial being held at Holy Spirit Parish, 650 Essa Rd., Barrie on Saturday, October 31st at 10:30 a.m., followed by a private family interment. Please note that facial coverings, as well as physical distancing and gathering restrictions are mandatory.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Varod (disablesvanni.org) would be greatly appreciated by the family. Varod is a rehabilitation centre for children located in Sri Lanka.
