Margaret “Peggy” Elizabeth Turner (née Rackett)
August 12, 1927 – April 7, 2023
Peacefully passed at the Victoria Village Manor in Barrie on Friday, April 7th, 2023 at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the late A. Roy Turner. Loving mother of Susan Turner (Douglas Jure), Kathryn Henkenhaf (Wilhelm), Lorraine Chadwick and Barbara Berendson (Paul). Proud grandmother of Gregory (Joanna), Jesse (Kate), Jennifer (Justin), Joanna, Elyse, Alexandra and great grandmother of Ella, Luke, Viktoria, Elizabeth, Ryker, Izzy and Cameron. Predeceased by her parents Sydney and Violet Rackett. Will be missed by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 from 10:30 am until the time we celebrate her life in the Chapel at 11:30 am. A Livestream link of the Service will be made available here. Reception to follow inside the lower lounge. In keeping with Peggy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre designated to the Cancer Centre and are greatly appreciated by the family.
