With a heavy heart, we announce Sharon's peaceful passing at 81 years old at RVH in Barrie.

Sharon is survived by her best friend and partner of 27 years, George Nearing. She leaves behind her beloved son, Jody Treibmann, and his wife, Wendy. She is the proud grandmother of Emma, with whom she showered endless love and affection. Loving daughter of the late Donat and Eleanore Daoust. Sharon will always be loved and missed by her dear sister Lynne (Danny) Vance and brother Ron Daoust. She will be reunited with her late brothers, Mike (Pat) Daoust and Bernard Daoust. Sharon will be affectionately remembered by her nieces Meagan Vance, Hillory Speck, and nephew Rob Durston. Her beloved pets will miss her companionship, care, and unwavering love. She will be remembered by friends, many of whom were akin to family, who will hold her memory dear.

Sharon is remembered as a strong, vibrant personality. She loved sharing funny life stories and laughing with loved ones. Sharon had a special place in her heart for animals, often taking in and caring for many strays who luckily crossed her path. She enjoyed reading, knitting, and watching the no-nonsense Judge Judy. She was often in the kitchen cooking family favourites and exploring new recipes.

Sharon effortlessly made meaningful connections with many people, sharing her friendly smile and great sense of humour. She was indeed young at heart, and her genuine care and compassion for others will not be forgotten.

We are deeply grateful to Meagan Vance for the unwavering love and support she provided Sharon during her final months, a gesture that brought immense comfort and gratitude to her.

In Sharon's memory, please share a smile or kindness with someone every day and remember that "everything has its way of working out." In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Sault Area Humane Society. There will be a celebration of life for Sharon later this summer.
