In Loving Memory of Ken Thompson (April 19, 1961 - March 23, 2024)

Ken Thompson, a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories.

Ken was born on April 19, 1961, in Vespra, Ontario, to the late Don and Miriam Thompson. He grew up alongside his brother Bob (Elaine) (the late Sue).

In his journey through life, Ken found his greatest joy in his family. He was the devoted husband of Wenndy for 37 years. Ken was also a cherished son-in-law of Louise and the late Bill Wehrle, brother-in-law to Rick Wehrle (Janis), proud father of Meghan, Josh (Brittany), and Nate (Megan). His heart swelled with love for his grandchildren, Cameron, and Charlotte and grand puppies Hudson, Scout, and the late Bauer.

Throughout his 34-year career at Honda, Ken demonstrated unwavering dedication. His commitment to excellence was evident in every task he undertook, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and peers alike.

Beyond his professional endeavours, Ken found joy and fulfillment at his family farm, where he spent cherished moments with family and friends. An avid athlete in his youth, Ken had a passion for baseball and hockey, instilling in him a lifelong appreciation for sportsmanship and camaraderie.

However, Ken's proudest accomplishment was his family. He found immense joy in watching his children grow and flourish, and his heart overflowed with pride at the sight of his grandchildren.

Ken will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warm smile, kind heart, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those he loved.

In honouring Ken's memory, let us cherish the moments shared, the laughter echoed, and the love everlasting.

Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever shine bright in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him family and a friend.

His needs were simple. Family, a friend or two, a cold Blue or Whiskey and stories to share.

You will be forever cherished and eternally missed.

As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to Hospice Simcoe.
