Doreen Ann Thompson (née Laughlin)
December 10, 1939 – February 13, 2024
Passed peacefully surrounded by her family at Victoria Village in Barrie on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024 at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by her loving husband John (2017). Beloved mother of Darlene Steers (Stewart), Janet Bartolomucci, and Mike Thompson (Vicki). Will be missed by her grandchildren Angela (Ryan), Trevor, John and Jacob, her step-grandchildren Stephen (Kerri) and Crystal, and her great grandsons Lincoln and Cohen. She will be dearly missed by many extended family members and dear friends.
In keeping with Doreen’s wishes, cremation will take place with a private service. Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the care provided by the staff at Victoria Village. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Alzheimers Society of Simcoe County and are greatly appreciated by the family.
