It is with heartfelt sadness that our family announces the passing of Maria “Mary” Stull (nee Bewcyk). She passed away peacefully at home with her three loving angels by her side after a courageous battle with cancer on June 24, 2021, at 85 years young.

She is survived by her three daughters Debbie Davidson, Brenda Desjardins (Mike), Diana Richard (Robert) and (like a) daughter Connie Bridcut. Baba will be missed by her grandchildren Brayden and Calder Davidson, Danyon and Rhianon Arnold and Ethan Richard. She is also survived by her brother Michael Bewcyk along with many nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Joan Stull (Duncan Stewart) and brother-in-law Bob Stull (Isobel).

She was predeceased by her husband Ted, her parents Nick and Zeta Bewcyk and companion Pete Bridcut.

Mary was born in Thunder Bay and travelled with her family to numerous locations on the CN Rail line before the family settled in Geraldton, Ontario. She attended B.A. Parker Public school and Geraldton Composite High School. She remained best friends throughout the years with Bernice Dawd of Thunder Bay, a friendship like no other.

Her years were filled with raising three children, work, the Stull camp at Wild Goose Lake, travel, retirement, family, friends and a love of cooking, quilting, knitting, crocheting, cards, music, and golf. She loved to watch sports especially golf, the Blue Jays and the Raptors.

Mary began her career with the TD Bank followed by the Ministry of Natural Resources before joining Ontario Hydro in Geraldton. She was a proud long standing Power Workers Union member (Ontario Hydro/Hydro One) and had many fond memories of her work and colleagues, remaining in contact with many from Geraldton, Thunder Bay and Barrie.

Cremation has taken place. As per Mom's wishes, a private family gathering will be held in Geraldton, Ontario as her ashes will be united with Dad in the family plot. We honour our Mother & Baba, whose strength was a testament to her life.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. R. Bickle, Saint Elizabeth’s (Angel), Home and Community Care, North Simcoe Muskoka Hospice, and the Local Health Integration Network for all the wonderful care provided.

Due to current gathering and travel restrictions, a celebration of life event will be held in the future.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
