It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sandra Strudwick (nee Lockhart) on Sunday February 4, 2024. Sandy has now been reunited with her beloved Bill (2010). Dear daughter of the late Winfield (Bill) and Pearl and loving sister to David (Sheila). Sandy is predeceased by brothers James and Bruce. Devoted mother to daughter Suzanne Rumney (Jamie) and son Ted (Dina). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Pamela, Bailey, Dylan and Lexi. Great grandmother to Ariana, Hunter, William and Willow and she will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Sandy and husband Bill worked hard during their life together building a construction business and later enjoyed some semi retirement years in Florida. Sandy enjoyed gardening, her collie dogs and horses. She particularly loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed!
A Celebration of Life will be held at Adams Funeral Home (445 St, Vincent St., Barrie, ON) on Thursday February 8, 2024 at 11am followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place with private interment at Minesing Cemetery this spring/summer 2024.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. A special thank you to the ICU at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
