Passed away peacefully on Sunday November. 3, 2019 surrounded by her family at Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Daughter of the late Lloyd and Ivy Scott. Predeceased by her loving husband Mel (1994). Best friend and treasured mother of David (Joanne) of East Oro, Sherrill (Rodney) Gill of Carley, Scott (Jill) of Oro-Medonte, Mark (Mary) of Georgetown, and Paul (Bonnie) of Jarratt. Proud Gramma of Krista (Nathan) Nicol, Tara (Mark) Woodrow, Dana (Jesse), Jason (Dan), James (Chelsea) and Carley Gill, Steve (Shandel), Kaitlin (Mike), and Jon (Kelsey), Owen, and Lauren Strachan, Isabelle Strachan. Cherished Great Gramma of Ethan and Olivia Woodrow, Lane and Reid Nicol. Remembered by her brothers Eric (Joyce), George (Brenda) Scott, and her sister Twyla (Gary) Penley, brother in-law Ivan (Eileen) Strachan, predeceased by her sister and brother in law Hilda (Murray) Briggs. Dearly missed by her cousins Doreen Crichton, Doris Miller and Ina Wrigley. Myrle will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Relatives and friends will be received at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Wednesday November 6, 2019 from 7 – 9 pm, and on Thursday November 7, 2019 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Friday November 8, 2019 at 1 pm with visitation an hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the OSMH Foundation ICU department, Rugby Community Hall, or to the charity of your choice.
