It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Stoddart, after a courageous fight with a rare leukemia, Carol went home at the age of 73. Loving wife of Matthew for 52 years and cherished Mother of Heather. Dear sister of Valerie Horton (Brian), sister-in-law June Stoddart, brother-in-law Jack Stoddart and Aunt to her nephew Scott Evans. Predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Kathleen Higson. A long time Costco employee, she treasured her time with her many friends and co-workers. Their support throughout her battle was greatly appreciated and the family is forever grateful. A special thank you to the Cancer Care centre at RVRHC, particularly the Chemo Nurses who always had a smile to share and made our visits so much brighter. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kotchetkov, Dr. Dickson and Dr. Natt for their unwavering support and advice through the last 6 months. A sincere thank you to the awesome Nurses, PWSs and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe, your care and genuine concern meant the world to the family. At Carol's request, cremation has taken place with Peaceful Transitions, Barrie. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice Simcoe.
