On Wednesday, February 17, 2021 Joanne Sticklee unexpectedly passed as the result of heart failure shortly after surgery.

Joanne wanted to be involved. Throughout her life she joined and participated in many groups and associations. A long list would include decades in Scouting (that took her all the way to Brownsea Island at one point), years with D.O.N.A. Doulas of North America as a birth coach, Hospice Simcoe/Matthew’s House, Christ Church Ivy as maintenance, lay reader and choir member as well as local dancing and social groups.

Joanne’s children, Jason (Leah) and Tory (Robin), grandson Leo and loving partner Ian Walker as well as Joanne’s surviving siblings, nieces and nephews are grieving her loss. They have chosen to have a celebration of life in the spring when an indoor/outdoor gathering can be arranged safely in Coulson Ontario with respect to the difficulties surrounding Covid in Ontario.

Arrangements entrusted to Marshall Driver Cremation & Burial Service, 19 Ross St., Barrie.

. Donations may be made in Joanne’s memory to  Hospice Simcoe or Matthew’s House through the funeral home.
