Passed away at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Saturday September 17, 2016. Gilbert Stebbings of Barrie in his 88th year was the beloved husband of Marion Stebbings (Furlong). Dear father of Carol Hardy (Greg) of Barrie and Jim (Michael Gallant) of Toronto. Loving grandfather of Julia Goodman (Matt) and Jackie Hardy. Great-grandfather of Myles Gilbert Goodman. Brother of Violet Kolb and Audrey Cain. Pre-deceased by brothers Steve, Elmer, George & John and sisters Marie, Gladys & Helen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the St. George’s Anglican Church (9 Granville St.) in Barrie on Thursday September 22nd at 11:00 a.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, St. George’s Anglican Church or to the charity of your choice through the Jennett Funeral & Cremation Centre 152 Bradford St. in Barrie.
