SAYER, Leo George
May 8, 1943 – March 4, 2024
Passed peacefully at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston on Monday, March 4th, 2024 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Maria (2021). Loving father of Diana Sayer and Sonja Stam (Paul, 2016). Proud grandfather of Scott (Regina) and Matthew (Stephanie). Dog dad to Scruffy and dog grandpa to Casper, Tucker, Pearl, Harley and Bullie. Dearly missed by his best friend Charlie Quinlan. Will be sadly missed by extended family members and friends.
Leo was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. In his spare time Leo loved playing golf and enjoying some fresh air. He also loved playing darts and billiards with his family and friends. Leo was proud to say that he was a retired Sergeant with the Canadian Military for 32 years, having served 3 UN Tours.
In keeping with Leo’s wishes cremation has taken place with no formal service to take place. Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. If desired, donations in Leo’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Sick Kids Foundation and are greatly appreciated by the family.
