Karen Joan Raven (Nee Small)

Born in Midland, Ontario, and passed away in Barrie, Ontario on February 24, 2023 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her parents Myrtle and Jack Small, her loving husband Stan, stepchildren Candus and Randy. Karen will be sadly missed by daughter-in-law Donna Brown (Ken), granddaughters Brandy Bruce (Steve), Robin Wrobel, Raegan Reigate, 6 great-grandchildren, niece Gail Robinson and her children and grandchildren, cousins and very good friend Lynn Benham. She went to school at Regent Street Central; worked with her Mom at Bell; gave instructions on how to use your new dial phone; and sang at St. Mark’s Church with her Dad. Lived in the home she built in Guthrie, with Stan for 50 years. Enjoyed volunteering for Children’s Aid Society and Royal Victoria Hospital; being out with the Guthrie Guild, Bell Pioneer’s and the Probus clubs. Travelled many miles and saw many exciting things with Hamilton Tours after Stan passed, then adjusted to apartment living.
