RATCLIFFE, Shirley Margaret

Peacefully passed at the North York General Hospital on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at the age of 81 years. Loving aunt to Brian Inett and his wife Marie, and Paul Inett and his wife Yvette. Dear sister of the late Beth (Larry) and Joan. Proud great aunt of Justin and will be fondly remembered by Shannon, Toni and Sammy. Will be missed by many dear friends. Shirley loved to spend time with family and friends, entertaining or being entertained. Shirley had a great passion for travel and a flair for fashion. Shirley also had a great love for cats, and always provided a home for one lucky cat. Shirley was also very proud of her time spent as a primary school teacher, and this became a source of her many close friends.

Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, May 9th, 2020 from 10 a.m until the time we celebrate her life in the Chapel at 11 a.m. A reception to follow inside the lower lounge. Interment at Guthrie Cemetery, 2156 Hwy 11 South will occur immediately following the reception. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to a charity of choice and is greatly appreciated by the family.
