Sheila Quinn of Québec City passed away on March 9, 2023, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Paul Lawrence, daughter of the late Florence Egan Quinn and the late Wynn James Quinn. Québec’s first female actuary, Sheila spent her entire career at Industrial-Alliance. She served on several boards of directors, including the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Régie des Rentes du Québec.

Religious service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Saint-Michel-de-Sillery Church, 1600 rue du Cardinal-Persico, Quebec, (Qc). Following the service, the family invites you to a reception at the church.

Sheila was the sister of Terry (Carmen St-Hilaire), Katy (late Mike Casey), Maura (late Patrick O’Toole, late Bill Bolger), and Mary (Robb Roy) and the sister-in-law of the late Rita (late Laval Beaulé), the late Loretta, the late Russell, the late Donald (late Thérèse N.-Lefebvre), the late Frederick (late Louisette Paradis), and her husband’s twin, the late Paulyne (late Lionel Dion).

She was the aunt of Michael Quinn (Chantal Cadieux), Nancy Quinn (Steve Morris), Barbara O’Toole (Mike Scott), Doug O’Toole (Jennifer Baas), Susan O’Toole, Gary Lawrence (Sylvie Vartian), Larry Dion (Edith Laverdière), Yves Dion, Marie Dion (Pierre Vallée) and Lise Bouffard, mother of Louis-Philippe Dion. She was the great-aunt of Michaela Quinn, Tyler Ross, Kathleen and Samuel Scott, Adrian and Bronwyn O’Toole, Théo and Anna Lawrence, and Louis-Philippe Dion (Leslie Skopljak) and the great-great-aunt of Camila and Rafael Dion-Skopljak. She will also be greatly missed by her childhood friend Louise Saville Viens (late George Viens), and her many neighbours, cousins, and friends.
