Born in British Guiana (now Guyana), South America in 1932, the eldest son of the late William Richard and Rahieman Puddicombe, passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Sunday, February 28, 2021. William also referred to as W.J. or Bill in his 89th year was the loving husband of Shirley Ann. Proud father of Andrea (Geoff) Cohen and Sarah (Michael) Parchewsky and grandfather of Finley, Isla and Grier Cohen, Sydney George (daughter of Christopher George), Maya and Alina Parchewsky. Brother of Elaine (Peter) Gardiner, Cecil (Jackie) Puddicombe, Rudolph (Joan) Puddicombe, Basil (Pramela) Puddicombe, Kenneth (Rohini) Puddicombe, Jean (Arjune) Tiwari and Grenville Puddicombe. Predeceased by his sister Veronica Lucille Gariba. William grew up us an entrepreneur and immigrated to Canada in 1968. He will be remembered most for his strong sense of family, his gregarious humour and leadership. His tales of trips to the moon and infectious laugh will be fondly remembered by his 8 nephews and 14 nieces. Memorial donations to the CNIB or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
