On the morning of 08 April 2022 Mel passed after a lengthy battle with a number of health issues at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, in the presence of the love of his life Beatrice Caulleen PEEVER (Tremblay). Mel Leaves behind his children Catherine of Toronto, Peter

Mel began his life in humble settings in the Town of Iroquois Falls, Ontario as the first-born child to Herbert H. PEEVER and Marie Iola PEEVER (FARRELL). Mel's many experiences in early life were shared alongside his brothers and sisters. Bud, Sheila, Sharon, and Bill.

Mel had many adventures during his life dedicated to the service and support of others at many different careers including the Abitibi Pulp and Paper Company, Department of Lands and Forests Ontario, before embarking on a long career with the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) where he met and later married his Love Caulleen. After retiring from the O.P.P. Mel finally retired to the City of Barrie devoting his time to his community, friends, and family (Especially his Grandson Liam).

The family wish to thank the Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and staff at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie for making Mel's final adventure as comfortable as and supportive to himself and his family.

As Per Mel's wishes, Cremation has occurred. There will be no Visitation, Funeral Service or Celebration of Life. Mel's wishes were merely to have a private immediate family gathering at a later date to spread his ashes back where his journey began.
