The world has lost another beautiful soul, always giving of herself and never expecting anything in return. Pauderis Skaidrite "Rita" passed away Saturday May 12th, 2018 at RVH, Barrie in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Modris "Morris" and son Bruno. Survived by daughter Benita "Bo" (Paul) and grandson Justin of Barrie, son Peter (Linda) and grandson Matthew of Toronto and grandsons Colton and Tristan.

Aboard the United States Army Transport the M.B. Stewart coming from Latvia to a new country for a better life and with no knowledge of the English language Rita still managed to communicate her desire to help, which she did acting in capacity of staff girl helping the ships crew were needed. This caring and helping others continued till ill health and dementia interfered with her involvement in various organizations (Camp Saulaine, Barrie Stroke Recovery and the RVH Auxiliary which she was involved with for almost 20 years)

Internment at York Cemetery, Toronto on Tuesday May 29th at 11:00am. Memorial donations to Salvation Army Barrie, David Busby Centre Barrie, St. Johns Latvian Lutheran Church Toronto or charity of choice would be appreciated.
