It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Bonnie Leigh (Hlusiak) Pain, surrounded by her family at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Sunday, August 7th, 2022, in her 72nd year. Loving wife of 55 years to Robert (Bob) Pain, Bonnie was the essence of love and kindness. Her pride and joy were her three sons John (Arlene), Jason (Tina) and David (Karen); her grand children Kody (Abigail), Katelyn, Chaze, Jacob, Aidan, Chantelle (Matt) and Delaney; and her great grand children Ella and Sadie, who will all dearly miss her immeasurable love. She was the beloved daughter of the late Karoll and Elizabeth ‘Betty’ (Branton) Hlusiak. Bonnie will be affectionately remembered by her brothers and sisters Keith ‘Rick’ (the late Lynda) Hlusiak, Phyllis (Ken) Kelly, Debbie (Frank) Gorry, Brian (Karen) Hlusiak and Anne (Gibb) Murdy; by her brothers and sisters-in-law Harold Pain, Barbara (Dave) Cochrane and David (Lorrie) Pain; her many, many nieces and nephews, and her very special friend Fran (Pinky) Taylor. Predeceased by her brothers Bernard ‘Skip’ (Mavis) Hlusiak, Stephen Hlusiak and Karl Hlusiak; her sisters-in-law Ada Pain, Carol (the late Steven) Lewington, Cheryl Lehmann (Al Dermott), and brother-in-law George (the late Alice) Pain.

Family and friends will be received at Adams Funeral Home (445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie) on Friday, August 19th, 2022 for a Memorial Visitation from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Reception from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. A private family interment is to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowersdonations may be directed to The War Amps or a charity of your choice.
