Passed peacefully, surrounded by family at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie Ontario. Loving husband of 35 years to Janice Padmore (Lawton). Son of Isabella (Ella) Scott Padmore, and David Arthur Padmore (deceased). Brother to Michael (Christine), Steven (Joanne), William (Gina). Father to Wayne David Padmore (deceased), Dale Padmore (Jody), and Wendy Maenz (Steven). Loving grandfather to Tyler and Ryan Maenz and Rowen and Ripley Padmore. Uncle to Jennifer, Graham, Stephen and Christopher. Loving family member to many aunts, uncles, cousins, and adopted family and a loyal friend to many. He was unconditionally loved by his many furry friends, most recently to Oscar, who will miss him dearly. Born in Northumberland England, David immigrated to Canada at 18 years old with nothing to his name and no family to meet him in a new land. Overcoming any fears, David became successful in every sense of the word. He built a wonderful life including a great career, married a loving wife, and was a father to children he thought the world of, and who reciprocated the same. He was an integral part of a huge extended family and loved to nurture nature at his doorstep. David fought to live the best possible life, and did so until his last breath. The family wishes to offer heartfelt thanks to the ICU nursing staff at the hospital and for all the kind words, thoughtful gifts, and condolences received. The emotional support has been overwhelming.
We invite family and those who knew him to funeral services at Adams Funeral Home, 445 St Vincent St, Barrie, Ontario L4M 6T5 on Thursday December 8th, 2016. Gathering will start at noon, followed by the service at 1pm. Refreshments will follow the service. Feel free to join us in wearing bright colours on Thursday to celebrate David’s colourful life. If you so desire, donations can be made to Gilda’s Club of Barrie, a homeless shelter, or a charity close to your heart. Love and light to all during this time of sadness.
