Passed peacefully at home on Wednesday May 17th, 2017 with Yolande “Mandi”, his loving wife of 38 years, by his side. Predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Lillian. Honoured father of Scott (Lisa), Christine (John) and Kimberly McClelland (Gary), and grandfather of Sydney, Carter and Brian. Survived by his brother Clare (Teresa) and sisters, Sharon (Dennis) and Leona. Uncle to many nieces and nephews but will be sadly missed by his nieces Samantha and Jacqueline. Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. The family would like to take this opportunity to express their heartfelt thanks to Bayshore Home Health, as well as the staff in the RVH oncology department for their compassionate care of Howie. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Care Program would be greatly appreciated.
