Passed away at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie surrounded by his family on Tuesday October 29, 2019 at the age of 66. Gary born in St Catharines on August 20, 1953 and raised in Peterborough, beloved father of Jennifer Hlusiak (Ryan) of Barrie and Jeff Miller of Oro Medonte. Loving partner of Elaine Howarth of Woodville. Proud grandfather of Stevon and Rylee Hlusiak. Dear brother of Ron (Eleanor predeceased) of Kirkfield, and twin brother Glen (Susan) of Peterborough. Dear uncle of Dalton (Katie) of Norwood and Garnett also of Norwood. Loved son of the late Jack & June of Peterborough. Gary was a volunteer Fire Fighter with Shanty Bay Fire Department, an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as hockey enthusiast always cheering for his grandsons and his Toronto Maple Leafs. Following cremation, visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Tuesday November 12, 2019 from 12:30 PM until time of Memorial Service at 2 PM. Private family interment will be held at Rosemount Memorial Gardens, Peterborough. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Juvenile Diabetes Canada or Camp Huronda would be appreciated.
