Passed peacefully at the Bob Rumball Home in Barrie on January 18th, 2023 at the age of 67. David was loved and honoured by his daughters, Jennifer Kerluke (Normande) and Tamara Micks, and by his son John Hedrich (Terri). Cherished grandpa to Hayley Micks, Becky Hedrich, Tyler Micks, Evan Gonneau, Bradley Gonneau, Hannah Gonneau, Davin Kerluke, Jamie Hedrich, Ashton Gonneau, Ceana Kerluke, Brooklyn Micks, and great grandpa to Ella Micks. Survived by his brothers Steven and Tom, and his sisters Sandra (Danny), Patty, and Lori.
David was well-known amongst his family and friends for being a down-to-earth man, who enjoyed living a simple life. He enjoyed woodworking, bingo, and hockey. Family always came first in his life. He was there whenever they needed anything, never complaining, and they in turn returned the love and support to care for him in his later years. David will be sadly missed by all.
An informal celebration of life will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday, January 29th, 2023 from 1 – 4 PM, with Words of Remembrance being shared at 1:30 PM.
