Loving father of Sean (Shona) and Matthew (DeAnna Murphy). Proud grandfather of Kyle and Kaylin and great grandfather of Alice.  Dear Son of Bob McRae and the late Nellie McRae, brother of Cathy (Mike) Hiltz and the late Steve McRae. Jim was a very proud long-time employee of the CFB Borden Fire Department. He started in 1979 and was honoured with his 35 year service medal. He was also a member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Club since 2014. Jim enjoyed volunteering for Senior Wish, where he made many connections and friendships.

Jim enjoyed his spending time with family and shared many smiles and laughs.  Jim loved socializing everywhere – especially at the Marina.  He could be found at the ANAF, Legion or with friends.  He enjoyed travelling to warm climates and made friends everywhere.
