Our dear Mom, Nan McPhun, (nee Donaldson) passed away peacefully on March 13, 2022 at 93 at Amica Little Lake, Barrie. Predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years Donald McPhun (2016). She had been active during the day, enjoying dinner and visiting family earlier in the evening of the 12th. Her daughters, Catherine McPhun Beatty ( Stuart Wason) and Lyndy McPhun and Anne Green were with her as she passed, surrounded by love and care. Loved dearly by her two grandchildren, Daniel Beatty ( Marianthe Pulos) Colorado, and Caitlin Beatty ( Peter Stewart) Toronto. Nan lived her life fully till the end. Our parents spent most of their lives in North Toronto and moved to Barrie in 2016 to be closer to family and their cottage. Mom had been an avid volunteer with Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. She and Dad loved to travel, and saw a great deal of the world. Together they gave generously to many charities. She had a great sense of humour, loved her summers at the cottage, dogs of all sizes, family and friends , and a good gin and tonic. She will be greatly missed. We want to thank the loving attention of the outstanding staff of Amica Little Lake for always taking such good care of our parents. Arrangements through Adams Funeral Home, Barrie.
