McNABB, Allan Douglas

Passed away peacefully at 91 years of age at the Stayner Care Centre on August 6th with his loving wife Laura at his side.

Married for almost 67 years Allan is survived not only by Laura but their children Cathy Caston (Philip), James (Kathy), John (Carol), Rob (Shelley) and Edward (Roberta), their 14 grandchildren (Aimee, Alysse, Christopher, Katie, Jeremy, Jenna, John Duncan, Graham, Sarah, Benjamin, Shellby, Jacob, Danielle and Jordan) and 15 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his son William/Bill (Rosanne), grandson Jonathan and his sisters Wilma Giffen and Pauline Milne. Big Al will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Allan farmed his entire life and loved time spent with family and friends especially at their sugar shack. He was always involved in the community, with baseball, OASA, the Lions Club and the International Plowing Match.

A Graveside Service will be held at Minesing Union Cemetery (1768 George Johnston Rd., Minesing, Ontario) on Saturday, August 14th at 1 p.m. In Allan’s memory, donations may be made to the Springwater Vespra Lions Club, Minesing United Church or to the charity of your choice.
