McMILLAN, Lawrence 'Larry'

Lawrence “Larry” McMillan, 76 years of age, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 4, 2019. Larry was born on September 13, 1942 in Owen Sound Ontario to the late Norman and Loretta McMillan (Traynor). The oldest of four boys, he married June McMillan (Kester) on March 18, 1972 and worked for Zellers for 36 years, all over Ontario. Larry lived his life with some simple pleasures: nature, photography, and music brought him the greatest joy, along with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, June, his son David McMillan (Natacha) and their children Sofia and Quin, his daughter Lisa Ross (Tara) and their daughters Kaarina and Kyla, his brothers Father Allan, Paul (Pat) and Philip (Margaret), brother-in-law Ross, sister-in-law Maureen, and his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends whose lives Larry touched are invited to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St. in Barrie, on March 9 at 10am for a short service. Please join the family after the service at a reception on site to grieve, look at his photos, and reminisce together until noon. There will be butter tarts. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to The Lung Association – Ontario in his memory.
