Muriel Jean McKee (Bannerman) passed away on August 6th2021 in her 88th year. She is the daughter of the late Floyd and Harriett Bannerman. Raised in Stayner, ON before moving to Barrie and working at her sister Flo’s baby store on Dunlop Street. She then went on to work at General Electric, Barrie Court House, and Sinton Bus Lines. Muriel was happily married to her husband Harvey for 61 years until his passing in 2016. She will be dearly missed by her children Janice, Brian, Stephanie (Rob), and surviving brother Brian. Predeceased by her siblings, Flo, Norm, Orla, Cliff, and Stew. Muriel has 5 surviving grandchildren and one great-grand child. She will be forever remembered for her energy, enthusiasm, and love for baking. Muriel was full of life and no one was ever a stranger to her. She will be missed by many.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 12 – 1 p.m. at Grace United Church (350 Grove St. E, Barrie) followed by a private Funeral Service. Interment will take place following the service at Barrie Union Cemetery (338 Sunnidale Rd, Barrie).
