Ronald Keith Marshall, in his 80th year, passed Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, following a brief, but aggressive battle with cancer. His passing was peaceful, and attended by loved ones.
He is survived by brother Paul (Mary Kay) of Shanty Bay, and sister Linda Cryderman (Terry), of Fernie, B.C. Loving and loved father of Kathy Sweet (Wayne), Steven (Connie), Richard (Joyce), and Nancy (Greg Lipsett). Ron was an adored grandfather to his 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by many close friends, especially his best friend, Butch Williams.
Born in Barrie, October 11, 1939, the son of Keith and Lillian Marshall. Ron had a passion for adventure in the outdoors. He was an avid scuba diver, active in the boating and sailing community, camping, and travel abroad.
The family wish to thank the dedicated and caring staff of the RVH palliative care unit, including doctors, nurses, and housekeeping.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August, 24, 2019, at Collier Street United Church, Barrie, from 1PM to 4PM.
