It is with heavy hearts that the family of Emily Makad (nee Kolody) announces her passing on November 26, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer at the young age of 69.
She is reunited with her sister and best friend, Mary T. Kolody who left us only 18 months less one day prior.
Emily's departure is already tremendously felt by her loving husband Charles Makad, and her 3 'babies' Jeannette Makad, Catherine Makad-Smith (Neil Smith), and Geoff Makad, but no one will miss her quite as much as her beloved grandchildren - her ultimate pride and joy - Quinn and Ethan.
Friends will remember her most by her sing-song voice happily announcing "Avon with Emily" as she excitedly shared the latest campaign brochure or newest products with them.
The family will hold a celebration of life in honour of this special lady in the spring after a chance to come to terms with this loss. Details will follow; however, friends and family are invited to share pictures, memories, and stories in the interim.
