It is with great sadness and reverence that we share the passing of Carlo Magi, a noble and loving father, husband and friend to all. Carlo succumbed on July 19, 2021 at the age of 54 following a brief and courageous battle with an aggressive and unexpected cancer. He passed away at home with his beloved wife, Lindsay, by his side.
Carlo was born in Terrace Bay, Ontario on March 4, 1967. He was an accomplished hockey player and a great lover and supporter of the sport. He was a leader in his field in the industrial supply business. He was ever strong and never one to compromise his strong principles or back down to a challenge, and impassioned everyone with that drive. Most importantly Carlo was devoted; to his family, to his obligations, to his friends. In his final days Carlo was most worried about being a burden on his family; that says it all. We will miss him so, so much; but we have comfort in knowing that his legacy will forever be with us.
Carlo leaves behind his wife Lindsay Magi, their daughters Emma (6) and Olivia (4) and his daughter Julia (23) and his son Paul (25). In addition, Carlo is survived by his father, Paulo Magi, his mother Elvirina Magi (nee Antonioni), and his two sisters, Paula Magi and Greta Magi, as well as niece Rachel and nephews, Emerson, Emmett, Wyatt and Finn along with many extended family members to whom he was greatly treasured.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church (65 Amelia St. Barrie). Due to the pandemic, there will be a limited number of attendees permitted.
A Go Fund Me page was created to support Carlo’s young daughters in an attempt to give them a glimpse into the life they would have shared with their Daddy. Alternatively, any donations made to the Jumpstart Sports Relief Fund in Carlo’s name are appreciated, as his passion in life was supporting young kids to succeed in sport.

In accordance to directives put in place by provincial governing bodies and the Public Health Unit there will be a limit on the number of people permitted into the church and there will be no gathering in the parking lot. Facial coverings and adhering to physical distancing measures are mandatory.
