Passed peacefully in his 100th year with family at his bedside at his Woods Park home. Predeceased by his beloved wife Hazel and his sister Grace. Caring father of Lynn (Ken) and Gail (Paul). Cherished grandfather of Robin (Karen), LaurieAnn (David), MaryJo (Matt), Brayden (Jess) and 8 great grandchildren. George will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-laws, as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie on Friday, July 8 from 11:30 am until the time we celebrate George’s life in the chapel at 1 pm. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the lounge. A small memorial celebration will be held at Woods Park Care Centre at a later date.
