William (Bill) Douglas Lemmon passed away suddenly at The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Wednesday September 22nd, 2021 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Shelagh (nee Dumais), who were married for 50 years. Loving father to Nancy (Jim) and David (Dawn). Cherished grandfather “Poppa” to Erin (John), Brad and Justyn (Lynette). Special and loving great-grandfather to Everly. Predeceased by parents Doug and Marie Lemmon of Cookstown and brother Gord. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Bill was a big man with a big heart and a wonderful sense of humour. He had a passion for nature, gardening, trains and dearly loved all the family canine members. He and his black poodle “Whiskey” were inseparable. An excellent cook, there was nothing he enjoyed more than being in the kitchen helping to prepare meals for family occasions. Thanks Dad for those wonderful memories. You will be missed more than you could ever know. In keeping with Bill’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the kind and caring staff at Mill Creek Care Centre where Bill was a resident for the past several years.
