KENZLERS, Michelle

It is with great sadness that the family of Michelle Kenzlers announces her passing on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the age of 36.  Michelle is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, Brandon, her cherished children Keegan and Brinley, her much-loved parents, Margaret (Craig), Brian (Diane), her adoring mother-in-law, Barbara, and her loving father-in-law, Rolf (Nadia).  She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Kristine (Justin), Leah and brother, Kyle (Ilona) and brother-in-law, Robert (Linda).  Michelle dearly loved her nieces and nephews and was a favourite aunt to them.  She was the treasured granddaughter of Dorothy Shropshire, Jim and Marjorie Shropshire, and the late Vern and Marion Dawe.  Michelle will be sadly missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

Michelle was born in Collingwood and raised mostly in Creemore.  For the past 10 years she had called Barrie home and she and Brandon worked hard to make their home a welcoming and relaxing spot for their little family.  Friends were always welcome to enjoy a meal done on the smoker, a refreshing swim, a relaxing time around the fire pit, or a simple get-together.

Michelle was multi-talented.  Her artistic abilities and talents are legendary and her work can be found in many homes and workplaces near and far.  She was in the process of illustrating a friend’s soon-to-be published book.  She was a science geek and enjoyed astronomy.  Musically inclined, she played the flute and alto sax in her high school band.

Michelle was a good swimmer and loved camping trips with her family.  It didn’t matter if it was a cabin or a tent, she was all in.  Makeup was a must, however, for boat rides.

Michelle was passionate about her family and a wonderful homemaker. Keegan and Brinley have benefited from her many skills and talents.

Michelle will be well remembered for her generosity, kindness, love and beauty inside and out.  We will miss her ready smile and laser-focused attack on the treat drawer!

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie.  Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m.  Masks, physical distancing, and capacity limitations are mandatory.  A private family service will follow on Thursday, December 16th at 1 p.m., with livestream available to the public via the funeral home website.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and are greatly appreciated by the family.   Online memories and condolences may be forwarded via www.steckleygooderham.com
