KAY, Robert (Bob)

At the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Thursday May 16, 2019 age 76. Bob Kay beloved husband of Pat Kay. Loving father of Liz (Rick Baker) and the late Karen and Susan. Dear grandpa of Darren, Michael and Stacy (Jeff) and great grandpa of Nolan, Avery and Michael.
Bob was a man of many talents. In his early years he gave up his Rock & Roll career with “The Shades” and drove a taxi to support his young family, eventually becoming an owner operator of three taxis.
In his “spare time” he studied for and obtained his securities diploma and became a stock broker and a very successful stock trader.
His love of flying led him to taking lessons and receiving his pilots licence.
In his later years he returned to music and played the blues organ in Barrie and was in the process of recording c.d.’s with his friend Russ on the sax.
Bob took great pleasure in being able to donate to charities aiding children. He will be very deeply missed.
There will be a celebration of life on September 7th, 2019.  Between 2:00- 6:00pm at 4 Grants Way, Barrie Ontario.
