October 5th, 1928 - March 8, 2022

Werner Oswald Kallus died peacefully at his home at the age of 93 years surrounded by family on March 8, 2022 in Barrie, Ontario.  In 1960, Werner immigrated from Germany in search of a new life with his family to Toronto and then onto Richmond Hill.  Northern Painting was created and has been a family tradition ever since. Once Werner had retired, he dedicated himself to his wife, his children and grandchildren.  You could also find him twice a week at Barrie Bowlerama to meet his pals for a few games.  Sometimes the lanes were too dry right?  He golfed when he could and he sang with The Black Forest Singers once a week singing German songs of the past which I’m sure would bring up old memories.  He will be dearly missed by his wife Elisabeth, married for 67 years, their two children Klaus, his wife Veronica, and Diane, grandchildren, Jessica, Brigette, Kenzie and Delaney and great grandchildren, Colton and Caileigh.  Werner is survived by his sister Dorothea and her son Oliver in Germany.  He will be greatly missed as a brother, uncle, husband, father, grand and great grandfather.  His smile, humour and incredible essence as a person cannot be diminished and will forever live on in our hearts.  A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring at his home.  Date to come.  Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.peacefultransition.ca.

Until we meet again, hit that strike Dad.
