February 7 1947- December 12, 2022

The family of Julie Anne Jones is saddened to announce the passing of Julie on December 12, 2022 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre after a long battle with chronic illness. She was pre-deceased by her husband Brian Jones and her brother Paul Clark.

Julie was one of nine siblings born to Jack and Marion Clark. She is survived by her brothers John and Robert and sisters Nancy, Mary Lou, Martha, Kathy and Susie, as well as fifteen nieces and nephews.

Julie is survived by her five children: Nancy Villemaire, Cathy McManee, John McManee, Jennifer Atkinson and Alliston McManee Sears and her stepchildren, Ryan Jones (Susan), Kerilyn Perron (Roland) and Corianne Jones, as well as her grandchildren Maggie, Nicolas, Shelby, Lily, Max and Gwen.

Julie was a long-time resident of Stroud and Innisfil. She was a stay-at-home mother during the early years, and a fantastic cook and baker. She worked at Radio Shack and had a home daycare where she raised many children she was extremely fond of. She was an avid reader and her love of novels continued throughout her life. A friend of animals, her chippies, squirrels, cardinals and blue jays will miss her presence. Her family is grateful for the support given to her by her neighbours as her health declined, as well as by her personal support worker Jackie Arthur who went above and beyond in her assistance to Julie.

A special thanks to Julie’s friends Maryanne Letourneau, and Barb Janowski. They meant a great deal to her. Thanks also to Jane Ferrier, a good friend who provided so much help and support to Julie for many years.

Her brother John envisions her now at peace, sitting on a cloud with her beloved husband Brian and her faithful dog Jake, enjoying a laugh. Julie was a believer in L M Montgomery’s famous saying: “ Life is worth living as long as there’s a laugh in it.”

Julie will be set to rest with Brian, Jake, Sonja and Penny on the Bay of Fundy, as requested.

Donations in lieu of flowers should be made to the animal charity of your choice.
