She was a brilliant student, a beloved wife, a devoted mother, grandma and great-grandma; she had much joy in time spent with immediate and extended family. She was always a faithful a part of many aspects of life within her church family. Jean won various trophies for her excellent academic work. She was a valued member of the Shipyard office staff until her first child was born. A few years later in life she was a World Book Representative for many decades, well into her seventies. Jean was also greatly involved in Home and School, civic, and charity groups, and worked hard to improve the lot of humanity. She loved travel, books, words and people, and wrote more letters than anyone known. Jean will be remembered as a quiet, kind and gentle person, generous with her time and talents.
