JEFFERSON, Kenneth Edward (DDS)

At the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband and soulmate of Mary (nee Young). Loved brother of Carol Prescott (Gerry). Brother-in-law of George Young (Pat) and Shirley Ferron (Rick). Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews, who he adored. Predeceased by his parents L. Col. KI (Doc) Jefferson, and L. Irene Jefferson-Roach (nee Smith). He will be greatly missed by his Uncle Jack Nixon and Aunt, Barb Kissick and his many cousins. Ken will also be greatly missed by the staff and patients of his dental practice, which he retired from in December of 2015. The family would like to acknowledge Ken’s special friends and colleagues and extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Fred Strangway for his care and compassion and all the professional staff, doctors and nurses at Princess Margaret and Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. Family and friends will be received at STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, on Friday, December 9, 2016 for visitation from 7-9pm. A service will take place in the Chapel on Saturday, December 10, 2016 starting at 2pm. Visitation from 1pm. Reception to follow. If desired, memorial donations in Ken’s name may be made to Princess Margaret Hospital, RVH Cardiac Care Unit or Hospice Simcoe and are greatly appreciated by the family.
