Passed away suddenly at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on March 13th, 2022 at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Marilyn James (nee Morrison). Loving father of Barbara James and the late Robert James. Cherished Papa of Madalyne, Jack, and Tyson. Predeceased by his parents Robert "Scotty" and Loretta James (nee Gibbons). Allan was predceased by his sisters Debra Boswarva, Ruth James and brother in law Stephen Morrison. Will be sadly missed by his brothers Ron James, Gary James, and sister Patsy Legacy, brother in law Tim Morrison, his many nieces, nephews, cousins and by his uncle Gilbert James from Kilmarnock Scotland, who was always more like a brother to Allan.
Allan was well-loved and known by all as a kind-hearted and gregarious individual, building many enduring friendships through his 44-year career with CNR (and Bombardier) and his association with the Barrie freemasons.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, March 17th, 2022 from 11 a.m. until the time we celebrate Allan’s life in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception gathering in the Lounge.
