Peacefully with her family by her side at Woods Park Care Centre in Barrie on July 3, 2018. Beloved wife of the late James Kelly and her first husband the late Rawley Hunter. Loving mother of Ruth Phillips (George), Ghislaine Hatton (Bill), Tina Hamilton (Jim), Jeanne Hunter (Cory), Gerard Hunter (LeeAnn), and Dan Hunter (Jo-Dee). Proud Grandmaman of 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Sadly missed by her dear family and friends. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St. Barrie on Sunday July 8 from 11am and a short service in the chapel at 1pm. A reception will follow. A Celebration of Life will also be held at Woods Park Home, 110 Lillian Cr. Barrie, on Monday July 9 at 1:30pm. Very active in the Barrie community, known as Madame Hunter to her many French students and as a tenor drummer with Barrie Pipes and Drum. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lina’s memory may be made to Bladder Cancer Canada and are greatly appreciated by the family.
