HOLMES, Rose

Passed peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Care Center in Barrie on Wednesday, May 16th, 2018 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband William John “Jack” in 1984. Loving mother of Marilyn Boone, Doug Holmes (Kathy), and Beth Stewart (Bev). Cherished grandmother of Douglas, James, Gina, Clayton, Dale, Craig, Laura and the late David, and great grandmother of Veronica, William, Harmony, Charlie and Cole. Rose will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and long-time friends. Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, with funeral services being held in the Chapel on Thursday, May 24th at 11 am, followed by a reception luncheon in the Lounge. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Woods Park Care Centre as well as the RVH medical staff for their compassionate care of Rose. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada or the RVH Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
